Kae Hayes (Lucas) was one of two faculty founders of our school, back in the early 50s

 

LUCAS, Kae
Kae Lucas, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, wife of Warren J. Lucas died Thursday, January 24th at her residence. Born in Galveston, Tex. to the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis "Red" W. Weber. She was an author of children's stories, cookbooks, and military humor. She wrote and produced many musical shows for the U.S. Air Force and was also a consultant. She is survived by her husband, a son, Scott Lee Hays of Washington, S.C., two brothers, Lewis W. Weber of San Antonio, Tex., and Robert Weber of Dallas, Tex., one granddaughter, Jamie Kathryn Schulke. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Lynne Shulke. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 28th at Christ Our King Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Charleston, 3896 Leeds Ave., N.
