Larry Twining 58

Lawrence Everett Twining, II, 68, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 in Webster. He was a world traveler and lived throughout Egypt , the United States , Canada and Turkey . In 1959 he actually graduated from high school while living in Turkey and went on to pursue his degree from the University of Houston . He served in the United States Army Signal Corp from 1960 to 1963 and married his wife in October of 1963, the late Phyllis Charlene Smith. He worked as a mortgage banker up until the time of his retirement.  

Lawrence is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis and his sister Mary Ruth Twining. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly and her husband Jim Ayres; sons Lawrence Twining, III and Zachary Twining and his wife Diana Philip; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City with Craig Thiry officiating. Family will begin receiving relatives and friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 PM.

The family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to Walter Reed Army Medical Center ; www.wramc.amedd.army.mil.
