Marc
Vitorillo |
Marc Vitorillo 92 created this social network which is an excellent gathering place for students who attended school in Ankara. Everyone can have their own blog and the ability to submit photos and videos. You can group broadcast an article or send personal messages to an individual or group. |
Although Marc was only in Ankara for 2 years, his experience was very memorable. "Ankara to me was very special. I don’t know what it was. Perhaps, it was a stage of my life that I started learning to grow up. Funny how I thought I knew everything back then. Or perhaps it was because the students were diverse and came from different backgrounds. Or because it felt like Cheers, 'where everyone knows your name.'”

Boyd Thompson's Karamursel and Ankara
Page
This site offers some good pictures from Karamursel and Ankara
during the sixties. Boyd Thompson, the webmaster, has even posted some
great paraphernalia such as a wine bottle label for the dorm waterfront
party in May 1967.

Dorm Life (Temporarily
Offline)
Joel Watson '67 provides a comical look at dorm life in Ankara during
the sixties. Those with a slow connection to the Internet be warned, this
site is graphic intensive. Period music alone makes this a fun site to
view.
