Ankara Reunion 2012
GCM Turkiye Reunion 2012

There are over a hundred alumni and faculty that have indicated they will be attending Ankara Reunion 2012. This is an impressive response this early in the planning process. With events on Friday and Saturday nights, you will no doubt have the opportunity to relive your Ankara memories with old friends.

Daily Activities:
There are plenty of things to keep you busy, or not, during the day. You can stay at the hotel and relax poolside or meet friends for lunch at a local Turkish restaurant. Several of our alumni are avid golfers. As part of our registration process we are trying to determine the activities that interest you and will offer you the opportunity to enjoy these things with fellow alumni while attending the reunion. The hotel is walking distance from the Rosslyn Metro stop for easy access to the sites of Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Friday, July 13
Daily Activities
Meet-and-Greet ($25.00) - 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Cocktail party with light hors d'oeuvres and one ticket for a drink of your choice. A cash bar will also be available on site. The event will be held on the 14th floor of the Marriott with commanding views of the Potomac and National Monuments.

Saturday, July 14
Daily Activities
Buffet Dinner ($75.00) - 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
A buffet dinner and one ticket for a drink of your choice at the bar. A cash bar will also be available throughout the evening. Additional activities are being planned.

Kathy Barrett Peters 74 has reserved rooms at the Key Bridge Marriott. Additional rooms will be added as attendance increases. The hotel is willing to extend this $109 per night rate for 2 days before and 2 days after the reunion. However, the "shoulder dates" are frequently sold out since many alumni are turning this reunion into a long weekend. If you experience the "no available rooms for your dates" message, contact Kathy as soon as possible so she can advise the hotel that more rooms need to be released. You must make your reservations by June 22, 2012 to receive the reunion rate.

On the GCM Reunion page, you can book, modify or cancel your hotel reservations at any time. Or call 1-800-228-9290.

Kathy is encouraging everyone to make a reservation as soon as possible even if you are on the fence. You can always cancel your reservation but you may not always be able to get one if this reunion continues to grow.
