It is with great sadness that I am posting to this webpage tonight. My brother passed away on Sunday, 1/22/2012 at approximately 7:30 pm. Joel Barry McDonald was 62 years and 1 week when he passed. He was preceded in death by his two dear friends from Ankara -- Paul Kuttner and Ben Phillipy. Over the years the trio celebrated many of life's events -- weddings, school graduations, the birth of Ben's children, Grateful Dead concerts, and any other reason they could dream up to celebrate.
